Fusible plugs
PNEUMOIDRAULICA ENGINEERING designs and manufactures many kinds of fusible plugs for the application in every field (Oil & Gas, Industrial, aeronautical, etc.). They are plugs with a hole closed by an alloy melted at a predetermined temperature. In case the temperature increases over the melting limit, the hole opens due to the outflow of the alloy and the line on which the plug is installed, is depressurized. The fusible plug is a very efficient component with no need of maintenance. For the Oil & Gas we are also manufacturer and provider of all the components necessary to build the whole system (excess flow valves, shaped tubing, “T” compression fittings, emergency shut down panels, fuse plugs charge panels, etc.)
Standard features:
- High exhaust flow rate
- Execution in AISI316 stainless steel (or chrome-plated brass)
- NPT threaded type or compression fitting type
- Melting temperatures: +70°C / +100°C / +145°C
- Max. pressure: 80 bar (air/oil)
- Imperial or Inch tubing (according to ASTM A-269)
- Accordance with rules ISO10418
- Certification according to PED / ATEX / IECEx
